Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Risk Assessment
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing clients using financial statements, credit reports, and payment history.
- Recommend credit limits and terms in line with company policies.
- Accounts Receivable Management
- Monitor outstanding invoices and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and follow up on overdue balances.
- Prepare aging reports and highlight high-risk accounts.
- Collections & Dispute Resolution
- Contact clients regarding overdue payments via calls, emails, and reminders.
- Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes.
- Negotiate repayment plans where necessary.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Generate regular reports on debtor status, credit exposure, and cash flow forecasts.
- Analyze trends in customer payment behavior and recommend actions to mitigate risks.
- Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure adherence to company credit policy and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits related to receivables.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance collection efficiency.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of credit risk, collections, and receivables management.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret financial data.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally or similar).
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
