The Credit Controller is responsible for managing the company’s credit control processes to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and minimize bad debt. This role involves maintaining customer relationships, processing credit applications, and performing credit checks to assess risk.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the sales team to ensure a timely collection of outstanding debts.
· Conduct monthly collections to optimize cash flow.
· Monitor and report any irregularities in customer transactions upon receipt.
· Manage accurate booking of rebates to ensure compliance.
· Notify management regarding customers with persistent payment issues.
· Liaise with credit control agencies to evaluate customer collectability.
· Maintain comprehensive documentation of debtors, sales, and receipts.
· Facilitate balance confirmations from all customers for internal & external audit purposes
Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Proven experience as a Credit Controller
· Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and management.
· Proficiency in accounting software
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
