Job Summary
Manage the credit/accounts receivable department to include; planning, organizing, staffing, and controlling the operations and activities of a centralized credit and accounts receivable function. Supervises employees, monitors activities, and satisfies reporting requirements. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives minimal guidance.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration AND three years of accounting or directly related experience which includes one year of supervision experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
- Prior experience using Command, Great Planes, or similar billing programs preferred
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Managing relations with Sales department and strong sales acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for communicating with employees and customers, record keeping, and documentation
- Dependable, accountable, self-motivated, and a quick learner to be able to intuitively analyze information for accuracy
- File numerically and alphabetically
- Advanced math skills with the ability to calculate discounts, pricing, and fees
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Prior experience supporting upper level management
- Minimum of intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
- Prioritize work load and function under pressure when dealing with numerous staff and tasks
- Possess Strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact with customers, vendors, subordinates, and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner
- Maintain valid driver license and able to travel, when necessary, to customer, and SRMG operations sites
Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand and follow company policies and procedures including safety guidelines
- Create a credit risk management environment of an acceptable quality, in terms of establishing credit guidelines
- Assist is developing sound, acceptable credit policies
- Interact with customers to obtain credit information to support credit limits
- Minimize financial risk to the organization by assessing and advising on creditworthiness of prospective and existing customers
- Develop processes and procedures for evaluating customer credit worthiness, setting and changing credit limits, placing customer credit on hold as needed
- Reconcile transactions and balances to maintain accurate accounts
- Monitor receivables and collections and provide regular updates in appropriate format to management and Sales Department
- Liaises with corporate customers and other departments to resolve credit problems
- Analyze delinquent accounts and report on high risk accounts including recommendations for resolution
- Collect and negotiate terms of payment on overdue accounts
- Identify accounts requiring collection agency or legal action and coordinate collections with third party contractors
- Understand contract law and the process for filing liens on projects and possess the ability to file a claim if necessary
- Monitors receipt and financial transaction recordkeeping and submits required reports compiled from records
- Initiates or coordinates the preparation of reports and maintenance of records pertaining to the operation of the work unit
- Supervises activities of subordinates
- Plans, schedules, allocates and prioritizes workload to meet operating requirements
- Develops, implements and revises work methods and procedures
- Establishes, monitors and ensures adherence to quality and quantity standards
- Recommends departmental policy development and revision to supervisor; updates related departmental manuals
- Recommends organizational adjustments to efficiently and effectively accomplish assigned objectives
- Assists with the more specialized and difficult work activities of subordinates
- Initiates and coordinates complex projects with other departments and interacts with other department personnel to accomplish objectives
- Ensures reliability and accuracy of departmental computer data bases and/or paper files
- Any other assigned work incidental to this classification

Pay: $73,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
