Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Credit Manager to lead our credit risk assessment and management efforts. In this pivotal role, you will oversee credit policies, evaluate financial data, and ensure sound credit practices that support our growth while safeguarding company assets. Your expertise in financial analysis, risk assessment, and negotiation will drive informed decision-making and foster strong client relationships.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor credit policies aligned with company objectives to minimize risk and maximize revenue.
- Conduct thorough credit analysis by collecting and evaluating financial data, including cash flow statements, financial reports, and credit reports.
- Perform risk assessments through quantitative analysis and financial modeling to determine creditworthiness of clients.
- Negotiate credit terms with clients to establish mutually beneficial agreements that support sales growth while managing exposure.
- Oversee loan processing and underwriting procedures to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize financial software tools for data collection, portfolio management, and fraud prevention to maintain accurate records.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and risk analysis summaries for senior management review.
Qualifications
- Commercial Credit Analysis and risk assessment of 5+ years.
- Leadership experience in managing a credit/AR team.
- Demonstrated success by reducing DSO and bad debt.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to interpret complex financial data through quantitative research and analysis.
- Proficiency in financial software applications, preferably Microsoft BC and BILLTRUST and technical accounting principles.
- Strong mathematical aptitude with capabilities in financial modeling, forecasting, and quantitative research methods.
- Knowledge of fraud detection techniques, and tax regulations is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical skills complemented by solid financial acumen to make informed decisions quickly.
