Role Purpose:
Lead and manage the rating department responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of corporate, financial institutions, and structured finance products. Ensure a robust, transparent, and compliant credit rating process aligned with international standards (S&P, Moody’s, Fitch methodologies) and local regulatory requirements (CBE, FRA).
Key Responsibilities:

Communicate rating results to clients, regulators, and senior management.

Represent the agency in industry forums, conferences, and regulatory discussions.

Implement quality controls, audit processes, and periodic methodology reviews.

Maintain data integrity and robust risk documentation.

Develop and execute the organization’s credit rating strategy.

Lead, mentor, and supervise rating analysts.
-
Set rating methodologies and ensure alignment with global best practices.

Oversee the full rating cycle: data collection, analysis, rating committee, and publication.

Approve or challenge rating committee recommendations.

Ensure consistent application of models and standards.
-
Ensure full compliance with regulatory frameworks (CBE, FRA, Basel).

Maintain high governance and transparency standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience: 10–15 years in credit rating methodologies, credit risk, or risk management (Banking/NBFI background is a plus).

Strong financial analysis capabilities.

Proven experience in presentations, communication (including C-Level), and negotiation.

Availability for frequent travel (including internationally).

Education: Degree in Economics or related field (Master’s is a plus).

Excellent command of English

Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and tools supporting sales and pre-sales activities.
