Job Brief:
This role is pivotal in driving the design, development, implementation and maintenance of mission-critical financial systems, including loan origination, credit scoring, and core lending platforms. This role demands a deep understanding of software engineering best practices, systems architecture, secure coding, and experience in delivering robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions within the financial services domain. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership acumen.
Responsibilities:

Manages the process of identifying and assessing the risks affecting the credit Risk.

Assists in developing mitigation strategies for risks related to Loan origination and monitoring these risks.

Ensuring lending process are in line with all regulations in place.

Review of Credit Applications to be forwards for Chief Risk Officer as per underwriting policies in place and analyses all expectations shared with the CRO

Ensuring consistency in evaluation and reporting of Risk.

Producing the risk reports to all stakeholders on a regular basis.

Organizes appropriate risk reporting, internally and externally.

Gathering, reviewing and analysing evidence to build an awareness and understanding of changes taking place, or proposed to all related stakeholders.

Document, and ensure communication of key risks. Maintains the communications channel with operations

Maintain input or data quality of risk management systems.

Monitoring of external indicators and market developments.

Performs testing for New Products and performs PIV for every change in the Core system / Decision engine

Ensuring of escalation mechanisms are established and are being used

Manage employee performance and development by assigning individual performance targets and development objectives at least on an annual basis.

Direct and supervise the activities and work of subordinates by providing formal and informal feedback regularly and on a timely basis, to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual targets

Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or any other relevant field (Master’s degree is preferred).

Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience.

Prior Experience in lending products.

Prior Experience in Auto lease, Credit Cards and SME
