Crew Leader, Mowing

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of landscape crew members to complete mowing, trimming, edging, and other landscape maintenance tasks efficiently and to high standards
• Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
• Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other tools safely and effectively
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Assist with planting, pruning, irrigation setup, and basic gardening tasks as needed to support overall landscape health
• Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to project specifications
• Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures and identifying potential hazards before they occur

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance or landscaping with a focus on mowing and general outdoor care
• Supervising or leadership experience in outdoor or construction settings preferred
• Knowledge of lawn care techniques, horticulture principles, and plant health management
• Ability to operate construction equipment safely and perform basic maintenance tasks
• Familiarity with irrigation systems, tree care practices, gardening techniques, and landscape construction is a plus
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members and coordinate tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills to relay instructions clearly and foster teamwork
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
