Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Criminal Defense Attorney with 1+ year(s) of experience handling misdemeanor matters. The ideal candidate is confident in court, comfortable managing a caseload, and passionate about advocating for clients during some of the most stressful moments of their lives.

You will be responsible for handling cases from intake through resolution, including court appearances, negotiations, motion practice, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in misdemeanor criminal matters from arraignment through disposition
  • Appear regularly in court for hearings, pretrial conferences, and negotiations
  • Draft and argue motions, conduct legal research, and prepare case strategies
  • Negotiate plea agreements and case resolutions with prosecutors
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding case status and strategy
  • Maintain accurate case files and documentation
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure high-quality representation
  • Uphold ethical standards and professionalism at all times

Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Arizona State Bar
  • 1+ years of criminal defense experience in AZ, with a strong focus on misdemeanor cases
  • Courtroom experience required (arguing motions, negotiating cases, handling hearings)
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Excellent client communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to grow within a boutique firm setting

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
