Criminal Defense Attorney

The Smith & Eulo Law Firm is looking for an energetic, go-getter, bi-lingual (Spanish-English strongly preferred, but not required) Criminal Defense Attorney with 2+ years of experience (felony experience a must!) to join an amazing team of successful, caring, and compassionate Criminal Defense and Civil Litigation Attorneys. Headquartered in Orlando, FL with satellite offices across the state, the firm is looking for someone to be based at Tampa, FL office to join our team in Tampa. Job Responsibilities:

• Meet with potential clients
• Interview witnesses
• Perform legal research
• Visit clients in custody
• Attend court hearings, trials, proceedings
• File motions
• Examine the crime scene
• Accrue additional evidence in support of a case’s argument against the prosecution’s charges
• Gather expert witnesses to testify in court
• Work on several cases at the time
• Regularly updating clients about their cases
• Responding to the urgent needs of clients
• Willingness to learn and practice family law
• Be willing to attend community service events
• Keep open lines of communication with paralegal and other office staff
• Other duties as assigned

Must Have Qualifications:

• Florida Bar licensed
• Board Certified
• Bilingual Spanish/English (strongly preferred)
• 2+ years of experience (preferably at the State Attorney or The Public Defender’s Office)
• Must have felony experience
• Must be a team player
• Must be a great communicator with clients and co-workers
• Work well under pressure
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Be able to travel by car across the state
• Be willing to be on-call on some weekends
• Great organizational and multitasking skills
• High integrity

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Graduated from top 100 Law School
• Criminal Trial Board Certified

Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
