Cross Trade Executive

Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced Cross Trade Executive with a strong background in freight forwarding and logistics.
This role requires hands-on experience in cross-trade pricing, rate negotiations with shipping lines, and international routing coordination.

Only candidates who have directly handled cross-trade pricing, ocean freight rate negotiations, and international routing will be considered.

Native Arabic fluency is a mandatory requirement for this role.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong commercial awareness, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver competitive and profitable quotations that support business growth across international markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and competitive cross-trade quotations to internal teams, customers, overseas branches, and network partners.
• Negotiate ocean freight rates and secure space confirmations with shipping lines and NVOCCs, with strong exposure to Asia and China trade lanes.
• Handle pricing requests from overseas branches, customers, and partner networks.
• Coordinate with customers and agents to provide timely shipment updates.
• Procure buy rates and share routing, carrier, and contract details with the operations team for execution.
• Respond to pricing requests using CRM and quotation systems within defined SLAs.
• Proactively follow up on pending quotations to convert opportunities into confirmed business.
• Monitor market trends and competitor rates to maintain competitive pricing.
• Participate in weekly/monthly pricing reviews and share reports as required.
• Support RFQs and tender pricing for key strategic accounts when required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Mandatory: Experience in the Freight Forwarding / Logistics industry.
• Mandatory: Proven experience in Cross-Trade Pricing or International Ocean Freight Pricing.
• Mandatory: Native Arabic speaker (spoken and written).
• Strong commercial understanding of market rates, carrier pricing structures, and global routing.
• Proven experience negotiating rates with shipping lines / NVOCCs.
• Proficiency in CRM and quotation management systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across customers, agents, and overseas offices.
• Ability to prioritize multiple pricing requests while maintaining accuracy and speed.
