Job Brief:
We are seeking a collaborative, innovative, and commercially driven individual with strong stakeholder engagement skills to join our client team as a Cross Trade Executive.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable pricing experience at a similar level and the ability to strengthen commercial offering.
This role requires someone who can deliver competitive quotations, negotiate effectively with shipping lines, and support the sales and operations teams in driving profitable business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and commercially aware quotations to sales staff, clients, branches, and the extended NASHCO Network on a cross-trade basis.
- Ensure quotations reflect the best pricing opportunities while maximizing commercial value.
- Negotiate competitive rates with shipping lines and follow up on space confirmations in China and other countries.
- Handle pricing enquiries from overseas sales teams, branches, customers, and network partners efficiently.
- Coordinate with agents and customers, providing complete updates on their shipments.
- Procure buy rates when required to enable shipments and provide operations with routing, carrier information, and contract details.
- Respond to requests within set timelines using the quotation system and maintain CRM records accurately.
- Follow up on quotations with customers to secure business.
- Monitor market rates and ensure our offerings remain competitive.
- Conduct regular progress meetings with managers/teams to review objectives and performance.
- Collaborate effectively with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to share responsibilities and ensure smooth workflow.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports on time.
- Assist the RFQ/sales team with ocean product pricing for larger RFQs.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in cross-trade or international freight pricing at a similar level.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to deliver competitive pricing solutions.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal and external teams.
- Proficient in CRM systems and quotation tools.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
