1. Job Purpose
To supervise and coordinate daily crusher plant operations, ensure continuous production, manage workers, monitor equipment performance, and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and production standards.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Plant Operations Supervision
- Oversee daily operation of crusher plant units (Jaw, Cone, Impact, Screens, Feeders, Conveyors).
- Ensure continuous production according to required output, size grading, and quality.
- Monitor plant performance, material flow, and crusher settings.
- Check oil levels, lubrication, temperature, and equipment conditions throughout the day.
B. Workforce Management
- Supervise operators, helpers, electricians, welders, and mechanics at the crusher site.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure manpower availability for shifts.
- Train and guide operators on correct handling of equipment.
- Maintain discipline and compliance with company rules and HSE procedures.
C. Equipment & Maintenance Coordination
- Conduct routine inspections of all crusher and screening equipment.
- Report abnormalities, breakdowns, and maintenance needs to the Mechanics and Electricians.
- Coordinate shutdowns for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ensure proper functioning of conveyors, bearings, belts, motors, gearboxes, and pumps.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned and greased as per schedule.
D. Production Monitoring & Reporting
- Record daily production (tonnage, hours of operation, breakdown time).
- Ensure feeders receive proper material feed and avoid overloading.
- Monitor quality of aggregates (5–10mm, 10–20mm, 20–32mm, etc.).
- Report shortages of spare parts, diesel, and consumables.
E. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce site safety rules, PPE usage, and environmental guidelines.
- Conduct toolbox talks and report unsafe activities immediately.
- Ensure lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures during maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around the crusher plant.
F. Quarry Coordination
- Coordinate with the blasting team and loading equipment operators (excavators, loaders).
- Ensure proper stockpile management and segregation of materials.
- Monitor the movement of trucks and loading efficiency.
3. Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field (preferred).
- 5–10 years’ experience in crusher/quarry plant operations.
- Strong knowledge of crusher machines, screens, conveyors, production flow, and material grading.
- Experience handling manpower and coordinating between operations and maintenance.
- Good understanding of HSE practices and emergency procedures.

- Willingness to work outdoors in dusty, hot quarry conditions.
- Ability to work long hours, night shifts, and respond to emergency breakdowns.
- Physically fit and alert.
