Consultancy Objectives:
The primary objectives of the consultancy are as follows:
- To strengthen the leadership capabilities of CSO representatives for driving strategic advocacy, alliance-building, and collective action in the nutrition sector.
- To enhance participants’ communication skills with a focus on persuasive dialogue, stakeholder engagement, media interaction, and negotiation for policy influence.
- To equip CSO leaders with practical tools and strategies to sustain multi-stakeholder collaboration and amplify community voices in nutrition-relatedpolicy dialogues
Scope of Work:
It is crucial to consolidate and enhancing the leadership and communication capacities of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) that have played a central role in alliance-building and influencing nutrition policy dialogue. The intervention aims to advance the competencies required to sustain and expand their policy and advocacy efforts. Effective leadership and communication are vital for CSOs to continue engaging meaningfully with government institutions, advocating for nutrition-sensitive policies, and mobilizing collective action. This training will provide CSO leaders with practical knowledge and tools to strengthen their influence, improve stakeholder engagement, and communicate with clarity and purpose.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver an interactive, participatory, and contextually relevant 2-day training program tailored for CSO leaders.
- Develop training modules, presentations, group activities, and case studies focused on leadership, communication, negotiation, and alliance-building.
- Facilitate dynamic sessions that encourage reflection, peer learning, and real-life scenario application.
- Assess participants’ needs and tailor content delivery to their current level of experience and organizational context.
- Conduct a pre- and post-training assessment to measure knowledge and skill enhancement.
- Provide guidance and coaching during sessions to ensure individual and group learning outcomes are achieved
Key Deliverables:
- Training agenda and methodology note approved by SPO and IRC prior to implementation.
- Customized training content and materials (presentations, handouts, exercises, toolkits).
- Pre- and post-training assessments along with analysis of results.
- Comprehensive training report including participant feedback, session summaries, photographs, outcomes achieved, and recommendations for follow-up support
