Job Responsibility :
- Collect healthcare and laboratory supplies from different departments regularly, and promptly.
- Sort, document, and disinfect all the collected equipment, instruments, tubes and bottles using the appropriate procedures.
- Operate sterilization machines effectively, and ensure equipment are appropriately sterilized for reuse.
- Disassemble, sterilize, reassemble, and pack instruments according to the infection control guidelines.
- Monitor the sterilization process of clinical equipment and healthcare supplies to ensure quality product and faultless outcome.
- Record sterilizer test results, recognize disorders, and monitor expiry date; report to the Lead Nurse.
- Properly handle, process, and store sterilized equipment and timely distribute to the appropriate department.
- Collaborate and coordinate with PHCC’s multidisciplinary team to maintain safety of patients in a controlled environment.
- Educate and guide new CSSD Technicians and trainees in performing sterilization activities and operating CSSD equipment.
- Liaise with the Biomedical section with regards to regular maintenance and calibration of the machines in the unit.
- Abide by PHCC’s safety and infection control regulations, and ensure the implementation of international CSSD standards and process practice.
Eligibility - Diploma or Degree in the same field
