Adheres to and supports all policies, procedures, mission statements, and strategic imperatives.

Directs and assists with daily workflow, including supply ordering, staff assignments, and resolution of customer service concerns.

Plans and prioritizes procedure scheduling and processing to meet the needs of patients and physicians.

Ensures all images meet established Quality Control standards.

Provides supervisory input for employee evaluations.

Actively participates in departmental projects and process‑improvement initiatives.

Utilizes Corporate Radiology computer systems accurately and efficiently.

Coordinates with the equipment project manager/manager to schedule scanner downtime and promptly reports equipment issues.

Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures in alignment with the CT Technologist job description.

Administers medical aid during adverse reactions to contrast medication or other emergencies.
-
Demonstrates proficiency in administering contrast medications with or without power injectors.
-
Performs venipuncture and evaluates IV access for contrast administration as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
-
Applies radiation‑protection principles to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
-
Ensures patient safety at all times.
-
Maintains regular and punctual attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies, ADA, FMLA, and all applicable regulations.

Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies, departmental guidelines, and required education.

Maintains cleanliness and organization of the section.
-
Reports equipment issues to appropriate personnel.
-
Manages supply inventory and orders additional materials as needed.
-
Assists with patient transport.
-
Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology; or
-
Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.

Current AHA BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
-
Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist license issued by the State of Florida.

Must additionally meet one of the following criteria:
-
Valid ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT); or
-
Valid Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification in CT.

Experience
Minimum of two (2) years as a licensed Certified Radiologic Technologist, six (6) months experience in CT is required and
experience in two or more of the following areas:
- Advanced imaging experience and proficiency, including 3D Lab or IR imaging, or Cardiac imaging
- Site proctor/preceptor for onboarding new hires and cross-training
- Primary responsibility: Dual imaging roles, with current proficiency and routinely performing in secondary modality.
