Position Overview:

Operates within the marketing organization, the Education Development Team is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of industry award-winning training. As a member of this team, you will work with multimedia designers and subject matter experts to develop content into technical instructor-led and online self-paced training.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Create realistic objectives for learning and performance for students and instructors.
  • Craft effective learning resources for synchronous and asynchronous training environments to maximize learner success, aligning with project timelines and staying within scope.
  • Develop course materials that support both in-person and web-based instructor-led delivery, ensuring consistency in learning outcomes and academic standards for local and remote participants.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructors to develop content for all delivery methods.
  • Focus on instructional strategies and curriculum development, while relying on dedicated multimedia designers to manage all visual design and branding requirements.
  • Analyze and maintain courses to ensure they meet or exceed Extron standards and ensure ongoing quality and relevance.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in instructional technology, curriculum design or related field; Master’s Degree in instructional design or curriculum design a plus.
  • 3-5 years in adult learning, curriculum design, or training development, preferably in a technical field.
  • Proven experience in the development and delivery of course curriculum.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail; highly organized; computer literate.
  • Ability to work well in a deadline-driven, professional corporate environment.
  • Experience with learning management and administration tools a plus.

Salary Range: $75,000 to $80,000. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
