Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
• Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces, and fixtures to ensure clarity and shine
• Conduct routine trash removal and recycling to uphold sanitation standards
• Use floor care equipment such as buffers and polishers to maintain high-quality flooring surfaces
• Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs and touch-up painting as needed
• Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries
• Support industrial cleaning projects or specialized cleaning tasks when required for facility upkeep

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial or residential cleaning environments with a focus on janitorial duties
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, including floor care, buffing, and sanitation practices
• Ability to operate custodial equipment safely and effectively
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures and basic repair skills
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness standards
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, and prolonged periods of movement
