The Custodian is responsible for all custodial duties for The Salvation Army facilities in Waukesha, WI.
About the role:
- Perform all janitorial and program set up functions with the assistance of maintenance when necessary.
- Empty and take out trash.
- Vacuum carpeted areas. Clean, mop, and buff other floor surfaces as scheduled.
- Clean restrooms daily, including toilets, floors, mirrors and keep paper supplies and soaps stocked.
- Set up rooms with tables, chairs and other equipment.
- Launder rags and mops regularly.
- Provide deep cleaning of the Emergency Lodge as a follow up to resident's chores, once a week.
- Wash windows, ledges, light switches, fixtures, vents, and walls as needed.
- Cleaning of kitchen, mop floors M, W & F mornings, cleaning mats as needed.
- Dust & polish all wood surfaces.
- Assist the maintenance staff in outdoor cleaning, weeding, and snow removal as needed.
- Communicate with Corps Officer and Maintenance regarding maintenance and supplies.
- Assist community service workers and volunteers with custodial work.
Education: N/A
Experience: Prior custodial experience helpful
Certifications: Valid Wisconsin Driver's license with approval to drive from TSA's insurance carrier preferred

Compensation: $15.76/hour, based on experience.
