Custodian
Position Summary:
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the
entire property, including both interior spaces and exterior grounds. This role ensures that all areas meet
established cleanliness, safety, and appearance standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices and common areas
- Sweep and mop floors
- Empty trash
- Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, reporting repairs)
- Follow established safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Current Texas driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience
- Ability to lift up to 10-20 lbs
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Physical Demands and Work Environments:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 pounds
- Repetitive hand and arm movements
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor weather condition
