Custodian (Full-time, 12-month position)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM or 7:00 PM (depending on length of lunch)
Pay Rate: $15.50/hour

State Technical College of Missouri is accepting applications for full-time, non-exempt, and benefit eligible Custodian position for the Facilities department. - Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- Empty trash and recycling, both indoors and outdoors
- Clean and disinfect restrooms and high-touch surfaces
- Restock paper products and soap dispensers
- Clean interior and entryway glass
- Buff, strip, and wax floors as needed
- Perform basic maintenance tasks (e.g., replacing batteries in sensors, fixtures, etc.)
- Monitor and restock custodial supplies
- Support setup/tear-down for campus events
- Supervise and provide guidance to student workers
- Assist with groundskeeping and snow removal as needed
- Secure buildings by checking and locking doors
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 6 months to 1 year of custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagrammed instructions
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Post-secondary coursework or vocational training is a plus
