Custodian - Afternoon

Job Description:

• Responsibilities include trash collection and removal, sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Regular cleaning of plumbing fixtures, window glass, and stairways also required.
• This job is 2:00pm - 10:30pm, 8 hours a day and requires occasional heavy lifting and some knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
• Must be able to climb a ladder to assist with changing light bulbs in ceiling fixtures.
• Assist with snow removal when circumstances require it.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Must have the ability to push, pull, lift and carry items weighing more than 10 pounds.
• Must be able to bend over, reach downward or upward, and to wring a wet mop.
• Must maintain storage areas in an organized fashion.
• Maintain school facilities and grounds in condition of operating excellence, cleanliness and safety so that full educational use of the facility can take place.

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and must have the ability to communicate with fellow employees and read English.
• Upon offer, applicant must complete and clear a drug screen and expanded criminal history background check for school personnel as required by IN state law.
