The Lehigh County Coroner's OfficeForensic Center is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and professional facility environment. This position plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of a modern medicolegal death investigation office.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, maintains high sanitation standards, and can work independently in a professional government setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning of offices, hallways, restrooms, conference rooms, and common areas.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.

Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces.
-
Empty trash and replace liners.
-
Restock restroom and hygiene supplies.

Clean interior glass, doors, and fixtures.

Assist with room setups for meetings and trainings.

Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

Maintain cleaning supply inventory.

Follow all safety, PPE, and infection-control protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred.

Ability to work independently and follow directions.

Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Ability to maintain confidentiality in a professional environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in healthcare, laboratory, or government facilities.

Familiarity with infection-control environments.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to push/pull cleaning equipment.

Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
Work Environment:

This position works within a professional forensic facility. Candidates must be comfortable working in a medicolegal death investigation environment while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
Schedule:

Part-Time: 15-20 hours per week.
- Shift hours: Flexible between 03:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M.
