Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custom Cabinet Builder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting custom cabinets that meet precise specifications, ensuring quality craftsmanship and timely delivery. Your expertise in woodworking, fabrication, and installation will be vital in transforming design concepts into beautiful, functional cabinetry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from Custom Residential to Specialized Commercial, with a focus on excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to accurately construct custom cabinets and related woodwork.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish cabinet components using hand tools and power tools with precision.
- Fabricate cabinet parts through woodworking techniques such as framing, rebar installation, and metal stud framing when necessary.
- Install finished cabinets securely on-site, including fixture installation, door hanging, and caulking for a polished look.
- Perform quality checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety protocols on construction sites.
- Assist with other carpentry tasks such as remodeling, flooring installation, tile laying, siding, and general handyman duties as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in custom cabinet building or a related carpentry field with a strong background in woodworking and fabrication.
- Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction site procedures.
- Hands-on experience with trim carpentry, frame carpentry, drywall finishing (plastering), roofing, masonry, and water damage restoration is advantageous.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers), power tools (drills, sanders), CNC machinery for fabrication tasks, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Knowledge of industry-specific skills such as rebar installation, concrete forming, plumbing integration for cabinetry with utility access points, electrical experience for fixture wiring, and mold remediation is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during assembly or installation processes.
