JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the direction of the Albuquerque PPC site Manager, the Customer On-Site Coordinator primary responsibility is to support all aspects of Customer shield and services at Customer manufacturing site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Work at Customer site as a Materion representative to provide order and logistics support related to the management of all shielding parts.
  • Develop, in liaison with Customer, a flexible inventory system capable of responding to manufacturing demand and technological change to avoid stock-outs or component obsolescence (optimize inventory levels).
  • To build and maintain a strong professional working relationship with our Customer.
  • Assist in determining shielding needs with the engineering team as a result of new equipment installs, system re-configurations, and quality.
  • Assist in maintaining high turnover and quick cycle times for all shield cleaning.
  • Assign Service Notification (SN) Numbers for all shielding for cleaning and reclamation Services.
  • Provide and maintain a weekly inventory report of all shielding at Supplier’s facility, and in-transit. Notify customer buyer when additional spare parts are needed.
  • Coordinator is responsible for same day shipping and receiving of all shielding. Dirty shields need to be packed and in shipping by 11:00am, unless the shielding is being held for a kit. Dirty shielding received after 1:00pm will be shipped same day if possible or by 11:00am the next day.
  • Stock all clean shielding in appropriate areas.
  • Materion to provide a daily report outlining the shielding shipments from Seagate on that day, this can be done by email. The report will be sent to the appropriate Materion and Seagate distribution list at the end of each day.
  • Provide reviews and written reports of the on-site cleaning program, detailing consumption by equipment set, areas of improvement, potential areas of opportunity, and failures.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires work experience in shipping and receiving. Experience with inventory control and stocking, and experience with quality inspections.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Requires the ability to operate various office and warehouse equipment to include a computer, printer, fax machine, copier, calculator, telephone systems. Must be proficient in MS word, excel, project, and Materion operating systems: SAP, SUGAR.

Must be able to work independently while maintaining open communication to the Materion sales, marketing and operations groups.

May include travel to Materion sites up to 6 times per year. Requires the successful completion of Materion training, and customer on-site training.

LOCATION: This position is in Bloomington, Minnesota. Employee must reside in this area.

Relocation expenses are not paid.
