Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products, including pipes, tobacco, accessories, and other merchandise
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new or featured items
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring the shop looks appealing at all times
• Handle cash and perform accurate cash handling and cashiering duties with attention to detail
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
• Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and basic math calculations for daily operations

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in tobacco shops or grocery store environments
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team coordination abilities
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively
• Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette for engaging with customers remotely or over the phone
• Experience in product demos, merchandising, stocking, and retail math will help you succeed in this role
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail sales processes is essential
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivering outstanding customer service
