Customer Service Office Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing exceptional support to both staff and clients. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

The job will be part time with reduced hours in winter due to less need for office coverage and less data entry work.

Duties

  • Provide customer support by addressing inquiries from customers by phone and in person.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records.
  • Assist remote employee with daily requests for files or information.
  • Proper office etiquette.
  • Ability to easily multitask.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Support accounting functions using QuickBooks for invoicing and financial record-keeping.

Experience

  • Previous experience in customer service or support roles is preferred.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is preferred.
  • Experience as a clerk or personal assistant will be beneficial.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft office applications (excel, outlook, access) to enhance productivity.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 25 per week
