(In Office Position)
Shift:
10 hour day schedule typically 7am to 5pm, rotating schedule
Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative/Dispatch position is responsible for providing customer service, placing new phone orders, and changing existing orders for ready-mix customers.
Requirements

Answer up to potentially 100+ phone calls and place new orders

Call customers as needed for dispatchers

Responsible for total customer satisfaction

Speak to our customers in a positive and friendly manner

Answer customer’s questions on concrete products

Learn to type tickets to Ensure timely delivery

Learn to monitor jobs: determine if delivery rates are correct; if jobs can be started earlier, or where there are delays on PM jobs

Inform shop of trucks with mechanical problems

Inform maintenance of plant problems
-
Assist Drivers in finding job sites

Get assistance to Drivers in emergencies

Inform Customer Representatives of problems on jobs that need their expertise and/or assistance

Wash out Drivers as early as possible
-
Learn to take orders for current day and/or future delivery as needed

Learn to make moves or changes in orders for customers

Other duties as required
Minimum Education and Experience
-
High school degree or equivalent required
-
Experience in the ready mix concrete industry and a strong understanding of concrete, ad mixtures, and aggregate preferred

COMMAND data dispatch system experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong computer, phone, and customer service skills

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Willing to work various hours including overtime

Ability to maintain composure in all situations and not become defensive or irritated

Knowledge of DFW and surrounding geographic area
