Customer Service Representative

Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Summary: Maintain all records, files, orders, customer service inquiries and shipping records for Manufacturing Shipping Dept.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Answer phone calls from customers and suppliers in a professional manner attending to the customer first.

Separate shipping orders and assigns to correct order processor.

Check for proper acknowledgement of priority orders.

Research customer service requests for verification of shipments & possible problems.

File and maintain production records for order processors.

Order supplies for office, reserve stock and floor.

Update priority list.

File original orders and confirmations.

Change shipping orders per customer service or other authorized personnel.

Update inventory records as dictate by manual changes or errors.

Maintain daily shipment count and report as well as fast-pick report.

Answers order inquiries.

Coordinates future shipments using future ship report, thus determining when orders should pick and ship to meet customer requirements. Checks shortages and ships orders complete and following procedure.

Follows up on special assignment memos from account executives

All other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Working knowledge of and ability to use a computer and 10 key calculator is required. Good organizational and analytical skills are needed.
