Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding shipment status, scheduling, and service inquiries
• Provide timely and accurate updates to customers via phone, email, and customer portals
• Schedule pickups and deliveries while ensuring customer requirements are met
• Track shipments in transit and proactively communicate updates, delays, or issues to customers and internal stakeholders
• Troubleshoot and resolve shipment issues including delays, accessorial charges, and delivery discrepancies
• Maintain accurate shipment data in transportation management systems (TMS)
• Daily communication with customers and drivers to ensure service expectations are met
• Update customer portals and email communications with shipment status information
• Track drivers and confirm pickup and delivery completion as needed
• Issue advances or payments to drivers when required
• Assist with driver documentation and compliance support
• Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in customer service, logistics, transportation, or supply chain preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Familiarity with transportation management systems such as McLeod preferred
