This is a seasonal, hourly position from Mid May to Mid September. Working alongside our Contact Service Center Coordinators at Joe Dodge Lodge, this position provides top quality guest service and a positive first impression to all of our overnight guests. This includes checking in of guests, assisting them in adjusting their plans, solving any issues they bring forward and providing information on the local trails and area. In addition to interacting with overnight guests, this role is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks performed over several software platforms.
What You’ll Be Doing At AMC
Welcome, check-in, and assist and overnight visitors and guests.
Must be able to work any lodge shift, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Accurately manage, create, or modify guest reservations in our property management system for any AMC facilities as required
Maintain professional correspondence with guests in person, on the phone and via email, and direct messaging.
Answer all incoming calls to the desk phone in the Check-in Office, respond or transfer appropriately and professionally
Communicate with our backcountry huts to provide up to date reservations information.
Complete administrative tasks such as processing online reservations, performing daily procedures, and maintaining our contact database.
Accurately and reliably oversee cash handling and credit card transactions on all shifts.
Selling memberships to non-members guests at check in and upselling meals
Assist guests with questions about area or their reservations
High school diploma or GED
Customer service and/or sales experience
Computer literacy, proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and effective typing skills
Excellent communications skills
Scheduling flexibility to work weekends and some holidays
Knowledge of White Mountain National Forest area is not required but encouraged
Commitment to being a team player within a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment

We are committed to fair compensation practices, and we encourage qualified candidates to apply. The initial salary represents our starting point, and our compensation philosophy is designed to reward and recognize the contributions of our employees as they grow within the organization. External candidates typically begin their journey with us at the starting point of the salary range. The final compensation offer will be based on factors such as experience, education, skills and geographic differential relevant to the position, and will be discussed during the interview process.
Room & Board: Dorm-style room for $45/week – meals included, too!
Insurance: Available with positions that are 6 months or longer and when working greater than 30 hours per week
