We primarily cover Upstate and the North Country in New York State utilizing our offices located in Rochester, Ogdensburg, and Philadelphia NY along with both our skilled people and technology.

Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for ensuring the customers of Upstate National Bank receive premier customer service by processing a variety of basic banking service functions, identifying customers’ needs, and recommending bank products/services to meet those needs.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of transactions including, but not limited to: cashing checks, accepting deposits and loan payments, and processing withdrawals
  • Process commercial deposits and coin orders
  • Balance cash drawer daily
  • Balance vault daily
  • Act as liaison between customers, management, and other departments within the Bank
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Answer phone calls and respond to questions, resolve problems, and needs in a friendly, accurate and timely manner or direct call to appropriate person
  • Wire input & verification
  • Support other branches as needed

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of cash management and customer service experience. 3 years of experience in banking or cash handling and/ or customer service preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Persuasive customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of data analysis and business financial reporting
  • Excellent organization and administrative skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize to achieve a defined objective
  • Effective at managing and measuring work
  • Maintain confidential information

Work Environment

Based in Ogdensburg, NY branch.
