Job Overview

Northeastern Air Quality is seeking a dedicated and professional Customer Service Representative to join our team in New York, NY. This is a Full-Time position ideal for an individual who is passionate about providing exceptional client support and contributing to a healthier environment. As the first point of contact for our residential and commercial clients, you will play a crucial role in representing our brand and facilitating our mission to improve indoor and outdoor air quality through expert testing, assessment, and environmental consulting. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with outstanding organisational skills.

This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $28 - $45 USD per hour.

Responsibilities

* Serve as the primary point of contact for all inbound client enquiries via phone, email, and web forms.
* Provide clients with detailed information about our air quality services, including testing, assessment, and consulting solutions.
* Schedule and coordinate appointments for our technical assessment teams, ensuring efficient diary management.
* Address and resolve client issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner, aiming for first-contact resolution.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and appointment details in our company database.
* Liaise effectively with internal teams to ensure a seamless service delivery for our clients.
* Process service payments and assist with basic billing enquiries.
* Follow up with clients post-service to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.

Qualifications

* Proven experience in a customer-facing service role is essential.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional and empathetic telephone manner.
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM systems.
* The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
* A genuine interest in environmental health and air quality is highly desirable.
* Previous experience in a technical service, environmental, or consulting-based company would be an advantage.
