Customer Service Representative (Sales Support)

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative (Sales Support) to serve as a key point of contact for our customers while supporting the Sales team with day-to-day administrative tasks.

This role is primarily focused on customer communication, order coordination, and internal support, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from inquiry through fulfillment. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Order Support

  • Answer inbound calls and assist customers with product inquiries, orders, and general questions
  • Respond to customer emails and provide timely, professional communication
  • Enter and process orders accurately in company systems
  • Provide order status updates and proactively communicate with customers
  • Coordinate with production, shipping, and accounting to ensure timely order fulfillment
  • Assist with account documentation and basic customer record maintenance

Sales Support

  • Assist Sales team with data entry, order input, and follow-ups
  • Update and maintain customer information in CRM (HubSpot preferred)
  • Help track open orders and ensure timely progression through the system
  • Route customer requests and inquiries to appropriate sales representatives
  • Support preparation of basic quotes and documentation as needed

Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized electronic files and customer records
  • Prepare sample shipments and sales materials
  • Assist with scheduling and internal coordination as needed
  • Support trade shows or customer events (as needed)
  • Attend team meetings and provide updates on customer activity and open items

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (not required)
  • 1–3 years of customer service, administrative, or support experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong basic math, including the ability to accurately calculate quantities, pricing, and order details
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong in the English language and proofreading skills
  • RFID knowledge is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour (based on experience)

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged sitting and computer use
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
