Customs and Regulation Coordinator

Job Description:

As a Customs & Regulation Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring compliance of all customs regulations and documentation processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from related departments (International Trade, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, etc.)
• Fluency in English and Turkish both in speaking and writing
• 1-2 year of work experience in customs and import & export activities
• Knowledge of customs legislation & logistics processes
• Experience in coordination of regulatory processes (DTS, TSE, CE, Cosmetics, Health Certificate, Warranty) as an asset
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel
• Ability to work under time constraints , multitask, and detail-oriented with good follow-up skills
• Good analytical skills
• Strong sense of organization and priority management
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Previous tax & customs experience in Big 4 Audit companies or multinational organizations (plus)
• AEO certification process and application experience (plus)
• Knowledge of Project Management
• Demonstrates strong team spirit and enjoys collaborating within a global network

Responsibilities:

• Check regulatory requirements, ensure necessary import/export permissions are granted
• Make sure customs broker agencies function in line with regulations & customs process
• Ensure effective communication with both internal and external co-workers for smooth customs operation and optimum shelves availability
• Knowledge and follow-up of local Customs and Commerce legislations; informing all related parties of the changes and ensuring that necessary actions are taken on time
• Responsible for necessary reporting
• Monitor and support team members in supply for a situation requiring customs and homologation expertise
• Apply/execute the processes defined for import
• Assume the responsibilities of Decathlon trade compliance
• Ensure effective communication with both internal and external co-workers
• Guarantee customs cost referencing to give good visibility on pricing
• Maintain a good knowledge of the registration legislation and other relevant government regulations
