Customs Clearance Branch Manager (Sokhna)

This role offers the chance to work in a fast-growing logistics hub and shaping customs operations while contributing directly to business growth.

Responsibilities:

Customs Clearance Operations:

• Oversee all customs clearance processes for imports and exports, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

• Coordinate with customs authorities and regulatory bodies to resolve issues and facilitate smooth clearance.

• Review and approve customs documentation, including declarations, invoices, and certificates of origin.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure all procedures comply with applicable laws and regulations, including tariff classification, valuation, and origin.

• Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and implement process updates.

• Identify and mitigate risks such as delays, fines, or penalties.

Business Development and Sales:

• Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to acquire new customers.

• Engage in commercial activities, including proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.

• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.

Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customs authorities, government agencies, and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, logistics, finance) to optimize processes and support business goals.

• Manage third-party service providers and negotiate contracts as needed.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost savings.

• Implement best practices and SOPs to enhance accuracy and speed.

• Leverage technology and software solutions to streamline operations.

Qualifications & Work Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in customs brokerage management within International Freight Forwarding and/or Integrated Logistics service providers.
• Solid knowledge of Ocean Freight and Ground Freight products.
• Very good command of English (spoken and written).
• Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project).
