Customs Compliance Specialist

This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior Customs specialist, who is passionate about gaining core knowledge in supporting clients and teamwork with our experienced customs personnel, within this high demand industry sector.

You would be passionate about supporting our clients in Ireland and EU, to achieve solutions on US Customs Tariff Strategy.

Experience needed in US customs clearances and notifications, in compliance with US regulations and Tariff developments. Core understanding of US HTS, EU Taric and non-preferential origin for duty calculations.

You will have professional business English, and a mature outlook to liaise with key Irish partners.

• Experienced with US import clearances processes and clearance Software.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
• Analyse client concerns by highlighting issues and dealing with any queries.
• Research Customs duty updates to satisfy client compliance requirements.
• Respond to client queries and assist in compiling client procedures /SOPs.
• Work on own initiative to research the latest US Customs updates.

You will be integral team member to optimise opportunities within customs regulations and logistics processes. Reporting to the Director, your core skills in negotiation and sales management will be essential in navigating complex customs requirements.

Your expertise in supply chain logistics will emphasise operational efficiency. Additionally, Proficiency in Microsoft Office, latest Gen AI and organisational skills to support sales.

• Reciprocal Tariffs - duties optimisation: 3 years (Preferred)
• First Sale process on exporting to US: 3 years (Preferred)
• UK Non Pref Origin rules for US imports: 4 years (Preferred)
• active use of Perplexity, Grok, Gemini, ChatGPT, etc: 2 years (Preferred)

• Advanced Professional Business English (C2+) (Preferred)
