Horizon NJ Health is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Customer Service Representative to join our team on a remote basis. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our members, providing exceptional support and guidance to help them navigate their healthcare services. The salary for this position is $28,000 - $38,000 per annum.

Responsibilities

* Serve as the primary point of contact for members, handling inbound enquiries via telephone and email with professionalism and compassion.
* Provide accurate and clear information regarding member eligibility, benefits, claims, and available healthcare services.
* Assist members in understanding their health plan and accessing services, including preventive care, wellness programmes, and mental health support.
* Effectively resolve member issues and complaints, escalating complex cases to the appropriate department when necessary.
* Meticulously document all member interactions and transactions in our customer relationship management system.
* Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our services, policies, and procedures to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
* Adhere strictly to data protection regulations and maintain member confidentiality at all times.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless and positive member experience.

Qualifications

* Proven experience in a customer service or contact centre role.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a clear and professional telephone manner.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to find effective solutions.
* A high degree of empathy, patience, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with care.
* Excellent IT literacy, with proficiency in using standard office software and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
* The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a remote environment.
* Previous experience in the healthcare, insurance, or managed care industry is highly desirable.
