Job Duties: The Child Welfare Services Case Worker Assistant provide services to remedy abuse, neglect and exploitations of self neglect of adults or children unable to protect themselves. Case Worker Assistant will assist Case Workers with providing casework services and administrative support for CWS Foster Care staff.Assist with transportation of foster children to medical appointments, scheduled visitations, to and from school as well as parents in need of transport in Foster Care cases.Make requests for educational, medical, dental, mental health, and law enforcement records to include background checks.Complete applications for birth certificates and social security cards.Assist with the completion of Foster Care Review Board packets, IV-E packets, Home Studies, Adoption packets, and ICPC packets.Make referrals to providers for client services, CFTM, CLEAR searches, etc.Upload into linked files in CAPSS all medical/dental, mental health, school records, court orders, and provider notes.Assist with other administrative support functions to include copying, faxing, email, filing, etc.Prepare Foster Care case files for transfer to archives.To ensure personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.Participate in Red Cross training and shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.Perform other related duties as required. This includes any tasks in support of the other CWS units (investigations and Family Preservation).

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
A High School Diploma and three (3) years of work experience in clerical, administration, social work, correctional, business administration or general business.An Associate Degree and one (1) year of experience in clerical, administration, social work, correctional, business administration or general business.
