Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Cyber Security Manager to protect our hospitality operations, guest data, and digital infrastructure from cyber threats. This role is responsible for developing security strategies, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, managing risks, and safeguarding critical systems including booking platforms, POS systems, and internal networks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cyber Security Strategy & Governance
- Develop and implement the organization’s cyber security framework, policies, and procedures aligned with hospitality operations.
- Lead risk assessments, vulnerability management, and threat mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws, PCI-DSS, and relevant regulatory standards affecting hotels and F&B operations.
2. Infrastructure & Systems Security
- Protect networks, cloud environments, property management systems (PMS), POS systems, and reservation platforms.
- Oversee firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and encryption controls.
- Coordinate regular penetration testing, patch management, and security updates.
3. Incident Response & Monitoring
- Establish and manage security monitoring, logging, and incident response procedures.
- Lead investigations of cyber incidents, breaches, or suspicious activities and ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare incident reports, root-cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
4. Data Protection & Privacy
- Safeguard guest personal information, payment data, and loyalty program records.
- Implement access control, identity management, and data classification policies.
- Ensure adherence to GDPR or applicable regional privacy regulations.
5. Awareness, Training & Compliance
- Conduct cyber security awareness training for hotel staff and management.
- Promote best practices in phishing prevention, password security, and safe system usage.
- Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and certifications.
6. Vendor & Technology Management
- Evaluate third-party vendors, SaaS platforms, and technology providers for security compliance.
- Review contracts, SLAs, and security controls for outsourced systems.
- Collaborate with IT, finance, and operations teams to ensure secure digital transformation.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of cyber security or IT security experience, with 2–3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience within hospitality, hotels, tourism, retail, or customer-data-driven environments is highly preferred.
