Cyber Security Specialist

Are you a proactive cybersecurity specialist looking to play a pivotal role in a leading financial institution? We are seeking a high-caliber Cyber Security Specialist to develop, maintain, and oversee the Bank’s security framework. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of ISO27001 and NIST standards to ensure our digital assets remain resilient and compliant.

The Role

As the Cyber Security specialist, you will be the primary guardian of the Bank’s Cyber and Information Security Framework. You will bridge the gap between technical monitoring and institutional policy, overseeing everything from SIEM log analysis to high-level regulatory compliance. This is a critical role offering a comprehensive vantage point into the security architecture of a modern banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Governance & Strategy: Develop and maintain the Bank’s Cyber and Information Security Framework documents—including Strategy, Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Analyze and report info-sec incidents arising from networks, operating systems, and databases; monitor audit logs using the Bank’s SIEM system.
  • Systems Oversight: Monitor user access privileges in core systems and evaluate the appropriateness of implemented changes to ensure stability and security.
  • Vulnerability Management: Assist in identifying vulnerabilities and implementing appropriate controls to eliminate or minimize potential risks.
  • Compliance & Investigation: Assure compliance with CBB rules/regulations and internal policies; investigate actual or potential security violations and provide detailed written reports.
  • Resilience Planning: Coordinate the implementation of security controls and update security initiatives within the Business Continuity Plan (BCP).

Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in reviewing IT policies and monitoring security devices, application systems, and database configurations.
  • Standards Knowledge: Exceptional ability to evaluate security controls according to best practices and standards, specifically ISO27001 and NIST.
  • Regulatory Acumen: Strong understanding of financial regulatory environments, specifically CBB rules and regulations.
  • Analytical Rigor: Elite ability to synthesize complex security data into clear, actionable incident reports and executive updates.
  • Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or CISA) are highly preferred.
