SUMMARY
:

The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for protecting an organization’s digital assets by monitoring systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding sensitive data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and defending against evolving cyber threats. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Monitor network traffic and system activity for signs of security breaches or anomalies
  • Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents in real time
  • Install and manage security tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, and encryption programs.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and security technologies.
  • Document incidents and create detailed reports for internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to ensure secure system architecture and data protection.

SUCCESS FACTORS

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools, firewalls, proxies, VPNs and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Strong understanding of operations systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and network protocols.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and explain security concepts clearly.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Commitment to professional growth and learning


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience
