Cybersecurity Analyst - Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Protect Vodafone Qatar’s digital infrastructure, networks, and data from cyber threats, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Threat Monitoring & Analysis

Monitor network and system logs for suspicious activity.

Detect, analyze, and respond to cyber incidents in real-time.

Use SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or equivalent) for threat detection.

Vulnerability Management

Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

Identify security weaknesses and recommend remediation.

Incident Response

Develop and execute incident response plans.

Perform root-cause analysis post-incident.

Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors during security incidents.

Policy & Compliance

Ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR if applicable).

Maintain and update security policies and procedures.

Security Awareness

Educate staff on cybersecurity best practices.

Conduct phishing simulations and training sessions.
