D365 Technical Consultant (F&O)

The D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Technical Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting technical solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations . The role collaborates closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality ERP solutions aligned with enterprise transformation initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain technical customizations and extensions in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Develop solutions using X++, extensions framework, and D365 best practices
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical designs and implementations
  • Develop and maintain integrations using OData, REST/SOAP services, Data Management Framework (DMF), and Azure services
  • Support data migration activities including data entities, data validation, and reconciliation
  • Customize and develop reports using SSRS and Electronic Reporting (ER)
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, and ensure adherence to coding standards and performance best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod)
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Maintain technical documentation including design documents, code documentation, and deployment guides
  • Support system upgrades, deployments, and post-go-live technical support
  • Identify opportunities for system optimization and continuous technical improvement


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Consultant / Developer on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Strong hands-on experience with X++ development and the D365 extensions framework
  • Solid understanding of D365 F&O architecture and technical components
  • Experience with integrations using OData, REST/SOAP APIs, DMF, and Azure services
  • Hands-on experience with SSRS reporting and Electronic Reporting (ER)
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, LCS, and source control (Git)
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders
