Job Description:

NDi is seeking a detail-oriented DADMS Analyst to support NSWCDD's software portfolio management, approval workflows, and compliance activities. This role serves as a key contributor to maintaining accurate and up-to-date software records across the Department of the Navy Applications and Database Management System (DADMS), ensuring alignment with Functional Area Managers (FAMs), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Navy enterprise processes.


Requirements:

  • U.S Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • This position requires 5 days onsite in Dahlgren, VA.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or technical field.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience supporting:
    • DADMS (Department of the Navy Applications and Database Management System)
    • NAV-IDAS (Navy Information Dominance Approval System)
    • ITPR (Information Technology Purchase Request) processes
  • Experience collaborating with Functional Area Managers (FAMs) to research software application status in DADMS.
  • Experience managing site software portfolios, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting compliance activities.
  • Experience entering new applications into DADMS and ensuring all required data is complete.
  • Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand software requirements and validate application information.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent software actions
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work with SMEs, FAMs, and technical staff
  • Strong organizational skills and documentation rigor
  • Ability to learn and apply Navy software governance processes

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of Navy software approval, lifecycle management, and FAM oversight
  • Experience preparing reports, spreadsheets, and portfolio documentation
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity constraints affecting software usage and approval
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to research software metadata and dependencies
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, or other documentation tools

IAT II Certification Requirement

Candidate must have one of the following DoD-approved IAT II certifications:

  • CompTIA Security+ CE
  • CCNA Security
  • CySA+
  • GSEC
  • CSA+
  • Any other DoD 8570-approved IAT II certification

Responsibilities:

Software Portfolio Management:

  • Maintain accurate software records in DADMS and related Navy systems.
  • Submit new applications, update existing entries, and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Track application status and follow up with stakeholders as needed.

Liaison With FAMsSMEs:

  • Research application status and coordinate updates with Functional Area Managers.
  • Work with SMEs to document software requirements and ensure correct categorization.
  • Advise customers on DADMS-related requirements and next steps.

Support for NAV-IDASITPR Processes:

  • Assist in preparing and submitting documentation for NAV-IDAS approvals.
  • Support the ITPR process to ensure compliance with Navy acquisition policies.
  • Track approvals and maintain documentation related to software purchasing requests.

ReportingDocumentation:

  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, status updates, and data calls.
  • Maintain audit-ready records for software usage and compliance.
  • Support ad-hoc portfolio management tasks as assigned.
