Responsibilities

• Lead daily walks with dogs, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout each outing
• Monitor dog behavior and use animal restraint techniques when necessary to maintain control
• Provide basic dog training during walks to reinforce commands and good manners
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pet’s behavior, health, and special needs
• Assist with pet sitting duties when required, including feeding, administering medication, or cleaning up after pets
• Maintain a clean and organized walking equipment area, including leashes, harnesses, and cleaning supplies
• Follow all safety protocols related to animal handling, veterinary procedures, and heavy lifting when necessary

Experience

• Prior experience in dog handling or pet sitting preferred; familiarity with animal restraint techniques is a plus
• Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience highly valued for understanding pet health needs
• Background in animal care or kennel experience demonstrates strong animal handling skills
• Knowledge of dog training methods and veterinary experience enhances your ability to manage diverse behaviors
• Customer service experience helps in building positive relationships with pet owners
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when needed for equipment or assisting larger dogs
• Passion for animals combined with excellent communication skills ensures a caring and professional approach

Pay: $100.00 - $300.00 per week
