Dance Teacher

Job Description:

• Make the holistic development of the students their primary concern in line with the NWS vision and mission statements.
• Work with parents in the best interests of enabling students to fulfil their potential.
• Have a secure knowledge of Dance and relevant curriculum areas.
• Impart knowledge and develop skills and understanding through well-structured lessons.
• Foster and maintain students' interest and love for Dance.
• Contribute to the design and provision of an engaging Dance curriculum.
• Have clear rules and routines for behaviour in classrooms and promote good and courteous behaviour both in classrooms and around the School in accordance with the School's Code of Conduct.
• Develop effective professional relationships with colleagues, knowing how and when to draw on advice and specialist support.
• Plan and prepare students to take part in a wide range of Dance activities as part of the monthly, cultural and inter-school events and annual functions in the Primary and Secondary Wing in line with the annual academic plan.
• Uphold public trust in the profession and maintain high standards of ethics and behaviour, within and outside School.
• Safeguard children’s well-being in accordance with statutory provision.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any subject with a formal education in dance.
• Evidence of recent and relevant continuing professional development.
