Dance Teacher

Role Purpose

To train students in dance, promote physical fitness, rhythm, coordination, and artistic expression while preparing them for school cultural programmes and performances.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach classical, folk, or contemporary dance forms as per school requirements.
• Plan and conduct structured dance lessons suitable for different age groups.
• Train students for annual day, competitions, assemblies, and cultural events.
• Develop choreography for school programmes and performances.
• Encourage discipline, stage confidence, and teamwork among students.
• Maintain attendance, performance records, and student progress.
• Ensure safety during dance practice sessions.
• Support school events and cultural activities.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma/Certification in Dance (Classical / Contemporary / Folk).
• Formal training in recognised dance forms preferred.
• Prior teaching or choreography experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong choreography and performance skills.
• Ability to train students of different skill levels.
• Energetic, creative, and student-friendly teaching style.
• Good organisational and event management skills.
