Dance Teacher - Toddler and Beginning Classes

Seeking a Superstar Dance Teacher for Young Dancers!

Portland Dance Center is hiring for the 2025-26 dance season and beyond with potential opportunities to grow into leadership roles. Our classes are taught by skilled teachers, in positive classrooms and we pride ourselves on age-appropriate movement and music. Our dancers go beyond technique and poise to develop important life skills -- learning to be respectful, confident and conscientious young people in the community.

You must have a high energy level to match our students', excellent presentation and professionalism, a thorough knowledge of dance, and experience teaching. We only hire career minded, long term employees who have stand out work ethic and desire to grow. We LOVE versatile teachers who are skilled in multiple styles and who enjoy teaching everyone -- from tiny tots to advanced teenagers.

Our program offers beg - adv classes to dancers of all ages. We pride ourselves in promoting a holistic approach to dance - valuing each dancer's self worth and contribution.

We're specifically looking for candidates with Saturday morning availability.

Current class openings:

9:00am - "Dance with Me!" - for 1.5 - 3 year olds; 30 minute creative movement class with toddler and parent.

9:30am - "Tiny Tots" - for 3/4 year olds; 45 minute ballet and tap combo class.

10:15am - "Pre Ballet Tap" - for 4/5 year olds; 45 minute ballet and tap combo class.

11:00am - "Kinder Ballet Tap" - for 5/6 year olds; 45 minute ballet and tap combo class.

11:45 - "Pre Ballet Tap" - for 4/5 year olds; 45 minute ballet and tap combo class.
