Two & Three Year Childcare Associate Teacher - Full Time

Job Title: 2 & 3 Yr Mixed Age Room Associate Teacher

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Childcare Associate to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the emotional, physical, and developmental needs of toddlers and preschoolers. This role requires strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for providing quality care in a safe and engaging setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide responsive, individualized care to each child, including diapering and toilet training.
• Maintain a consistent daily routine that includes developmentally appropriate activities to encourage growth in motor, language, cognitive, and social-emotional skills.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment in accordance with HHS State of Iowa licensing regulations and center policies.
• Maintain accurate records including daily reports, attendance, incident reports, and developmental observations.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early learning standards.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including sanitizing toys and surfaces and maintaining proper hygiene practices.
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• 18 Years or Older
• High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Complete and Pass both Federal & State Background checks
• Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Mandatory Reporter (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Knowledge of child development and appropriate caregiving techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, sit on the floor, and engage in physical activity with children.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Hours: 8.5 hour shifts - 1/2 hour lunch break
• Compensation: Based on experience and education
