Job Overview

The Dark Store Manager at Reliance Retail is a mid-level, full-time position based in Madgaon and Mapuca. The role is responsible for overseeing the efficient operations of dark stores, which are dedicated fulfillment centers supporting e-commerce and last-mile delivery. Candidates should have 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience and a strong passion for retail and e-commerce.

Qualifications And Skills

  • E-Commerce Operations (Mandatory skill): Proven expertise in managing daily operations of dark stores dedicated to online order processing and fulfillment.
  • Retail Sales: Demonstrated understanding of sales drivers, customer touchpoints, and execution of promotion strategies within a retail environment.
  • Order Fulfillment: Hands-on knowledge of picking, packing, and timely dispatch of orders, ensuring service level targets are met or surpassed.
  • Last-Mile Delivery: Practical experience in coordinating and optimizing delivery processes for efficient and prompt order deliveries to customers.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, train, and manage store teams, fostering a productive work culture and high performance standards.
  • Shift Scheduling: Skill in planning and allocating team resources for multiple shifts to guarantee operational efficiency and coverage at all times.
  • Customer Service: Strong ability to handle escalations, resolve complaints effectively, and deliver a seamless customer service experience consistently.
  • Inventory Management: In-depth understanding of stock monitoring, replenishment ordering, shrinkage reduction, and maintaining inventory accuracy in real-time.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end operations of dark stores, ensuring timely and accurate order processing, fulfillment, and dispatch in accordance with company standards.
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply teams to ensure sufficient inventory levels for all products, minimizing out-of-stock scenarios and overstocking.
  • Implement, monitor, and enhance last-mile delivery processes to achieve high customer satisfaction and minimize delivery time windows.
  • Lead, train, and manage store staff, develop schedules, and allocate resources to cover operational hours and achieve productivity targets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as order accuracy, fulfillment speed, and inventory levels to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Handle customer escalations, ensure fast and effective issue resolution, and constantly seek feedback to refine processes and service.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in the store environment to assure a secure and efficient workplace.
  • Generate regular performance and inventory reports to internal stakeholders, identify trends, and recommend operational enhancements or solutions.
